Rather quiet and at ease with myself, I should do well in most situations. I have done well with other dogs but, cannot live with cats. I have successfully completed basic obedience as well as agility and would love to continue all the training with you...it is so much fun! I may do well with all ages so, please bring the whole family to meet me!

If you're looking for a tremendously mannered dog, that has every desire to please you, then you've found your guy! Don't be detoured by my past, I've had enough excersice to last a lifetime! Don't get me wrong, I'd adore time spent with you on leisurely leash walks, but aside from that, I'm quite the couch potato!!! I'm not asking for much in my new home, my one and only need is no cats, PLEASE! They simply remind me of my racetrack past,and I'm trying to leave that behind me. Other than that, a cozy bed to snuggle on, a nice belly rub or pat on the head, and I'm forever yours!!!

I am a retired racer having traveled to Cocheco in hopes of a real home. While I will need to learn all things about being a family member, I am excited to do so. I can be a bit frightful in new situations but I am very willing and trusting so, I should be able to adapt as we learn together. I am far too interested in cats at this time so, may be best in a no kitty household. Other dogs seem fine for me though. Given my lack of basic exposure to life outside the track, children may be overwhelming for me. Let's meet and see if we can all get along.

I have had a tough life so far. Coming from a puppy mill situation where I was forced to have litter after litter...I have had limited exposure to life as a part of a family. I am easily overwhelmed and will need patience and a gentle, quiet nature to help me to succeed. Behavior classes together would be a wonderful thing! I can be a little shy at first and will smile at you until you reassure me. However, once I settle...watch out! I am active, goofy and all types of wigglyness. I love to play with other dogs that know how to be silly. Some dogs scare me too though so, let'e meet to make sure everything is okay. Cats are fine too. I would prefer children over 6 as I am a tad fearful of the little ones who may make loud noises unexpectedly or fast movements.

Nervous at first glance, I warm up quickly with a little treat or two. I love playing outside, walk pretty nicely on leash and adore attention! My personality is clearly defined...perfection! I am simply one of the happiest, silliest dogs here at Cocheco. I love to be with other dogs, people, cats...as long as I can have affection, I am happy. I did have a broken pelvis in my past which has caused me to "bunny hop", but I don't let this slow me down or ever change my demeanor. I am wonderful.

I am the perfect lap dog! I gravitate toward the action and just love to be loved! I am fantastic with other dogs here and love to romp about and play. Cats are fine with me too...I would like them to be my playmates as well so, no super shy cats please. I enjoy quiet, snuggle time more than anything else! I am easy on leash and nearly dote on people to get attention. I am fairly pushy with other dogs and may be best suited to live as an only pet or with a submissive canine. I do have some mild possession issues that CVHS staffer's are working with me on here. A big goof, I am all legs and awkwardness at times! I am searching for a home with large/giant breed experience as I am a big baby! I am nervous in new situations and need some guidance and reassurance to feel at ease. With a little encouragement, I do well and love to be with and around people. Other dogs tend to make me nervous and I seem unsure as to how to be around them. I have had surgery on my knee joints in the past and have a "touch" of arthritis. Thus, a big comfy bed and not too many stairs would make me very happy! I will need children over 6 or so to be successful.

I am working on my trust with people..you see, I got loose one day and scared and ended up in the woods for 2 weeks before anyone was able to get me. I need time, consistency and leadership from any potential new home. I must attend training to help us grow together and become a team! It would be best if there were either a calm canine companion in the home to help me learn or none at all so that all focus be on me.

I have spent the majority of my life outside and am in the process of learning what it is to be loved, indoors and know there is another meal coming. I am doing well with this transition and love to be around the hustle and bustle here. I do enjoy playing with most dogs but, my play style can be a little too rough and tumble for some.
