Daytona
A big goof, I am all legs and awkwardness at times! I am searching for a home with large/giant breed experience as I am a big baby! I am nervous in new situations and need some guidance and reassurance to feel at ease. With a little encouragement, I do well and love to be with and around people. Other dogs tend to make me nervous and I seem unsure as to how to be around them. I have had surgery on my knee joints in the past and have a "touch" of arthritis. Thus, a big comfy bed and not too many stairs would make me very happy! I will need children over 6 or so to be successful.

I am an active and willing hound! I do have some issues with other female dogs but, could be okay with submissive or male dogs. I should be just fine for a home with children as I tend to gravitate toward the little ones (they do usually have food and I so love that!). Do you have a little extra room for me?

Dillan was brought to New Hampshire after being found as a stray in Alabama. He is looking for a loving home that can help him come out of his shell. Nervous at first, but warms up once he gets to know you. A quiet home would be best for him as he is afraid of loud noises. Because of this, he would do best without children under the age of 8. He loves to play with other dogs, and has been fine with cats he has met here.

I enjoy quiet, snuggle time more than anything else! I am easy on leash and nearly dote on people to get attention. I am fairly pushy with other dogs and may be best suited to live as an only pet or with a submissive canine. I do have some mild possession issues that CVHS staffer's are working with me on here. Thus, I will be looking for a home with children over 12 to help me be successful.

Rather quiet and at ease with myself, I should do well in most situations. I have done well with other dogs but, cannot live with cats. I am working on my trust with people..you see, I got loose one day and scared and ended up in the woods for 2 weeks before anyone was able to get me. I need time, consistency and leadership from any potential new home. I must attend training to help us grow together and become a team! It would be best if there were either a calm canine companion in the home to help me learn or none at all so that all focus be on me.

I'm an old man with a lot of spunk and energy! I love to be around people! I do enjoy walking with you and playing fetch just as much as I enjoy quiet time with a good pat. I have done well with the cats here and although, somewhat fussy with my canine companions do well with them after a proper introduction. **UPDATE- 11/30/09- I got a "makeover" for the holidays! I went to visit Great Bay Animal Hospital and the Doctors there cleaned my teeth, took my lumps off and repaired my entropian eyelids (this was so itchy before!). I am a new me and ready to go home with you!

Your breed standard of a great hound dog is what I exude! I let my nose distract me whether it be when we are playing outdoors, working on my manners with treats or simply hanging out. I love to smell about the place and see what is going on in the place! I do play well with most other dogs but, can be a little rough at times. Cats make me nervous as I may have never seen one before Cocheco Valley but, I'm learning about them. I would prefer children over 8 or so to make sure we can all be successful.

I am a perfect combination of intelligence and foolishness all in one wonderful package! I seek out attention and love to be around people. Playtime is great for me whether I am simply tossing the toy up in the air to keep myself busy or playing fetch with you. Cats are of no interest here to me so, I think I could live with them, kids should be just great too! I can be a little pushy at times with other dogs, mostly when I want all the attention but, do well after a proper introduction. I make a lot of noise when I play with them, so don't be alarmed!

I have spent the majority of my life outside and am in the process of learning what it is to be loved, indoors and know there is another meal coming. I am doing well with this transition and love to be around the hustle and bustle here. I do enjoy playing with most dogs but, my play style can be a little too rough and tumble for some. I'm the move to a new home with lots of energy! I love playtime and think squeaky toys are the best invention ever! Other dogs make my day...so a resident canine may be perfect for me.
