On Sunday, June 7th, CVHS held its annual Walk-A-Doggie-Thon and Fun Dog Show at Wagon Hill Farm in Durham. The trails there run along the Great Bay and were enjoyed by dogs of every size, shape and color as they led their masters along the one mile route. Many thanks to the sponsors of the event: Coca Cola, Sharpe Works, Lamprey Screen Printing and Foster's Daily Democrat. WHEB once again broadcast the event, which included categories ranging from Waggiest Rear End to Longest Ears. Each winner, listed below, took home a ribbon, awarded by our discerning judges. A big thank you goes to the many people who collected pledges totalling $4,000.00 for the shelter. The following three people were the top collectors: Dana Clinton, $224.00; Monica McMahon, $211.00; and Hillary Pitman, $210.00. This event owes its success to all who worked to hard to collect pledges and to participate.
