Financial Assistance Programs for

Spaying/Neutering Your Pet

Why spay or neuter?

The number of unwanted dogs and cats surrendered to adoption centers each year is in the millions. While animal shelters and adoption facilities work hard to place all healthy, adoptable pets into new homes, euthanasia of these animals still happens, although less and less each year.

There are many solutions to help reduce the number of unwanted pets - obedience and behavior training for pets and their people to foster the bond, more housing options for pet owners that rent, and spaying/neutering your pet.

Cocheco Valley Humane Society strongly encourages the spaying or neutering of pets to help with the overpopulation crisis. Spaying/neutering will not only prevent unwanted pregnancies, it will also make your pet healthier and live longer. There are several assistance programs available in NH and Maine.

Cocheco Valley Humane Society now offers low cost spay/neuter clinics at the shelter once per month through All Creatures Mobile Veterinary Services! For information on pricing and scheduling, please call the shelter at 603-749-5322 ext 103.
