You can make a difference in a homeless animal's life

Each year, the Cocheco Valley Humane Society (CVHS) cares for over 3,000 homeless and abused animals. These numbers keep rising despite our best efforts to educate the public on spay/neuter programs and the humane care of animals. Without shelter at CVHS, these animals would have nowhere to go, and no hope of finding a good home.

It costs CVHS approximately $500 per kennel to provide SANCTUARY to the thousands of animals that come through our doors. The general care of all homeless animals is one of the Humane Society's greatest expenses. Animals must be fed, cared for, properly medicated, and given attention seven day per week - until each one is adopted. There are no weekends and holidays for the staff that cares for these homeless animals.

By sponsoring a SANCTUARY for one year, businesses allow us to use other donated funds to increase adoptions, education programs, and provide other outreach programs in the community.

You can become an Angel by making a donation to help provide SANCTUARY for our shelter animals. In appreciation for your donation, your company will receive acknowledgement in an upcoming issue of our newsletter. Also, the name of your company will be placed on a sign placed on the front of an animal's kennel. The sign will read "SANCTUARY Provided By ____________."

Sponsorship levels include:
$500 - $999        You are a Guardian Angel to a homeless pet
$250 - $499        You are an Angel to a homeless pet
$100 - $249        You are a very necessary Friend to save a life
