Local Children Celebrate Homeless Pets

- R.J. and Tyler along with their mother Donna Bolian of Rollinsford visited the Cocheco Valley Humane Society to deliver “birthday presents” of pet food, treats, litter, and gift cards to local stores.

Both boys added a new dimension to their birthday parties this year asking their friends to bring something for the animals instead of gifts. They got the idea from their mom who suggested that the boys choose between having a traditional party or helping out a local charity.

“They didn’t seem to mind going without some presents, and we were pleased that it was more important to them to help others. We’re hoping the idea will catch on.” Donna commented. The boys did receive a gift from the family.
